This chart takes a look at the twelve month trend in unemployment rates for non-veterans, Gulf War era I (Desert Storm) and Gulf War era II (post-9/11) in both male and female. While the post 9/11 veteran trend continues to move closer to the civilian rate, it is still 14% worse for our newest veterans. Desert Storm veterans continue rates nearly half the non-veteran rate. The female rate is a very small portion of the population and tends to experience large swings in percents.
