Holly Ridge, North Carolina – Robin Hood Pictures, a Veteran owned and operated company, is raising capital to make a movie titled John Came Home with proceeds benefiting Raider Project, a charitable nonprofit organization within the GallantFew network of services.
JOHN CAME HOME, is a movie about a father’s pursuit of retribution through vengeance. John returns to his small southern home town after 15 years in military service with Marine Reconnaissance and Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) to a family in ruins after his daughter is victimized in a sexual assault.
Raider Project Director Nicholas Koumalatsos says, “John Came Home plays right in to the struggles all Veterans face when leaving the service and how the months and years go by trying to find balance in a new mission while trying to keep our family whole.” Koumalatsos continues, “John depicts a Marine Raider and some of the struggles that all Veterans could go through. John is deployed with his team who he considers family. While he is deployed his family suffers a traumatic event which causes him to come home. He is faced with the necessity to deal with reconnecting with his family in the aftermath of this event all while transitioning from service.”
Robin Hood pictures is in the fund development stage and has activated an IndieGogo campaign (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/john-came-home#/story) to provide a location for people to back the making of John Came Home.
Proceeds from John Came Home will support Raider Project in its mission to connect with MARSOC and USMC combat Veterans and help them successfully transition into the private sector.
Koumalatsos states, “We had each others backs when in service and while deployed. The Raider Project will now have their backs now that they are at home”
The Raider Project is a part of the GallantFew network of services.
