Zach Ceballos
Veteran Support Specialist
About Me
A native Texan, Zach Ceballos served in the Marines as an infantry rifleman with 1st Battalion 5th Marines for four years. While serving as a rifleman in Corps, Zach and his unit deployed to Sangin, Afghanistan, in 2011, supporting the OEF campaign. During their time in Afghanistan, his unit encountered significant losses, unknowingly laying down the foundation for Zach’s hardships that he would soon face after leaving the Marines.
Once he completed his time in the Marine Corps, Zach went through various experiences not uncommon in the veteran population, such as substance abuse, alcoholism, divorce, several PTSD-related events, and multiple suicide attempts. Amid this challenging time, Zach became the father of a little girl.
In 2014, GallantFew came into Zach’s life and brought a team full of empathy, understanding, and love Zach didn’t know he needed. Able to turn his life around and overcome many hurdles, Zach credits GallantFew with helping him acquire full custody of his beloved daughter, identify his career path, reestablish his purpose, and ultimately save his life.
Zach now serves as GallantFew’s Veteran Support Specialist and is the initial contact for veterans when they complete the GallantFew Azimuth Check™. He is currently focusing on completing his undergraduate degree at the University of North Texas. Zach plans to pursue his master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling Services to continue helping active duty and veterans improve their lives.
Zach enjoys spending time with his daughter and chocolate lab, “Bo Dog”, riding his motorcycle, spending time with friends and family, and rock climbing with other veterans in the GallantFew network.
